I attended elementary and middle school at Garywood Christian in the 90s, and I have fond memories of Mr. Ray. I remember him always being nice and genuine. If my memory serves me correctly, he led a small prayer session with me and a few other students when I was 7 in the first grade, and it was in that prayer session that I became saved. I have loved and worshipped Jesus ever since. My condolences to his family and friends but please find comfort in knowing he made quite an impact with the time God gave him here.

Mr. Ray has always been such a role model for all of the lives he came in contact with and touched. He was an amazing principal to so many of us students learning how to navigate a Christian life in a crazy world. Through the years, we would connect from time to time, and I was always amazed at how with his friendship you could just pickup right where you left off. Mr. Ray was and will always be such a Christian model of consistency. I am confident he is helping people in Heaven right now just as he did through his entire life. I pray for God's comfort and encouragement to be with his family.

Mr. Ray was a wonderful principal, associate pastor, hospital chaplain & mentor to me. I loved him as a Christian example and like a favorite uncle. What a crown in heaven he shall have! My sympathies to his family.

I grew up with you as a mentor. You had the most gentle and caring soul I have ever met. You will be missed my dear friend.
