Clay was born October 16, 1956 in Clayton, Georgia to the late Forrest Jarvis Bennet and late Josephine Marsengill Bennett. Clay's working days were spent as a contractor.
In his free time, Clay loved doing wood work. He had a passion for classic cars and loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Clay is preceded in death by his brothers, Jarvis Bennett and Steve Bennett.
Clay is survived by the love of his life who he was married to for 48 years, Veeda Bennett; children, Seth Bennett and Cameron Bennett (Carrie); siblings, Gary Bennett and Scott Bennett; and grandchildren.
Service details will be announced at a later date.
