Age 65 of Wilmington, Illinois, died Sunday, December 21, 2025 at University of Chicago Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Born September 20, 1960 in Fairfield, Illinois, Randall Eugene was a son of Glen Earl and Peggy Joyce (Bruce) Daniels. He was raised and educated in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School with the Class of 1978. Randy worked as a maintenance mechanic for AkzoNobel Chemical Company for 35 years and later retired from INEOS Styrolution in Channahon.
He was an avid bowler and regular on Monday Nights at Wilmington Lanes in Wilmington. Randy attended the Hoinke Classic Bowling Tournament every year in Cincinnati, Ohio where he once bowled a perfect 300. He also enjoyed golfing and playing Euchre with his friends and co-workers. He was a great fan of Western movies and television, as well as the Wilmington Wildcats. Randy was a soft-spoken man with a strong will, but had a soft spot for his grandchildren whom he loved deeply.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Daniels, and his children: Glennden (Sara) Daniels and Katrina (Kyle) Skoryi, all of Wilmington; four grandchildren: Ali and Drew Daniels, and Maggie and Cayde Skoryi; two sisters: Patti (Bill) Calhoon and Tammy (John) McCormick, both of Wilmington; as well as several nieces and nephews and his dear friend Chris Dixon, who was like a second son.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Billy and Kevin Daniels.
The family will receive friends for a visitation at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, in Wilmington on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Oakwood Sunset Cemetery in Wilmington.
Following the cemetery, the family then asks anyone to join them for a Celebration of Life at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 241, 32050 West River Road, in Wilmington from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
