Randall E. "Randy" Boeldt

Randall E. “Randy” Boeldt, 74, of the town of Trenton, passed away on February 3, 2026, at home, doing what he loved to do.

Randy entered the world on August 29, 1951, in West Bend, born to the late Elroy and Laverne (nee Krahn) Boeldt. On July 21, 1973, he married the love of his life, Jayne Hoffmann, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, beginning a partnership rooted in devotion and quiet strength.

He was happiest under an open sky, hunting, camping, fishing, or simply taking in the outdoors. If it had an engine, especially a Ford, Randy was interested. NASCAR Sundays were sacred, and Fox News was often playing in the background. A proud patriot, he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era, carrying that sense of duty with him throughout his life.

Randy was a man who spoke little but loved deeply. He’d drop everything to help someone in need, no questions asked. His motorcycles and Mustangs brought him joy, but nothing compared to watching his grandchildren play sports. Hard work was second nature to him.

He had a soft spot for venison and an even softer one for sweets, Snickers bars and cake were his weakness. Even when he wasn’t supposed to indulge, he’d sneak a treat behind Jayne’s back with a grin that gave him away. His laugh was unforgettable, warm and contagious.

With his long hair and legendary beard, he proudly embraced his “long haired hippie” persona, refusing to let anyone near him with scissors. Randy loved his dogs, especially Koda. But above all his passions and quirks, Randy’s greatest devotion was to his family, whom he loved with his whole heart.

Those Randy leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Jayne; three children, Cher (Brian) Birno, Kellie Weber, Justin (Krystal) Boeldt; grandchildren, Pacey Weber, Silas Weber, Kennedy Weber, Landon Birno, Paxten Boeldt, Beckett Boeldt, and Adley Boeldt; step-grandchildren, Dustin Birno and Anthony Birno; a brother, Ron (Dolly) Boeldt; a sister, Sherrie (Roger) Sauter; his in-laws, Jary (Sandy) Hoffmann, Ellen (Al) Cowan, Joel Hoffmann, Dale Hoffmann, and Sally Hoffmann; other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his sister, Marlis (Gerry “Big G”) Boldt; two brothers-in-law, Daryl Hoffmann and Elmer Hoffmann; his parents-in-law, Elmer E. and Erna Hoffmann.

VISITATION: Randy’s family will greet relatives and friends at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 777 Indiana Avenue, in West Bend, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.

SERVICE: A funeral service for Randy will be held on Saturday, February 7th at 1:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in West Bend. Rev. Robert Hein and Rev. Clark Schultz will officiate with military honors following the church service.
