Randall Garber Obituary

Randall "Randy" K. Garber, at the age of 69, entered eternal rest peacefully on the evening of July 12, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Gary, Indiana on December 18, 1952, to Vivian May Bray of Hobart, Indiana and Robert Samuel Garber of Hobart, Indiana. He was the beloved husband of Karen Garber for 27 years. He is survived by his adoring children Nathan Garber (Mary Hannah) and Bambi Spangler (Joe). He was a proud grandfather. He was the caring sibling of Jim Garber (Caryl), Lori Hautt (Bill), and Kyle Garber (Cathy Andersen). He is survived by his nephews. He is also survived by a host of friends. Randy is preceded in death by Robert, Vivian, and Garry Garber. A native of Hobart, Indiana, longtime resident of Page, Arizona for over 7 years, Randy graduated from Page High School. After high school, he attended Northern Arizona University, and earned his bachelor's degree. He received his Master's degree from University of Arizona and his PhD from Texas A&M. Upon completion of his PhD, Randy completed a post-doctoral program with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where he met his wife, Karen. Randy was a teacher, professor, and plant enthusiast. Randy was loving, compassionate, and most of all a very caring person to all. He enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to his garden. However, his true passion was spending time with his loving family. Randy was unique and irreplaceable, well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His jovial spirit and tender nature will remain in the many memoires of his cherished friends and family until they meet him again.
