Randall L. Griggs, 71 of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024 surrounded by friends and family.
He was born in Baton Rouge, LA and was a longtime resident of The Gulf Coast. He graduated from D’Iberville High School and went on to receive his Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1976. He started his career at Griggs Construction before moving on to the Isle of Capri Casino, and has been Director of Facilities at Island View Casino for the last sixteen years. He was a loving husband and father known for his great sense of humor and devotion to his family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, cheering on the New Orleans Saints, and spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
Randall was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Linda Delcambre Griggs; parents, John Griggs Sr. and Myrtie Griggs; and brother, John Griggs Jr.
He is survived by his daughters, Amanda (Jeremy Dunaway) Griggs, Jennifer (Kris) Karr, and Stephanie (Cole) Krutz; grandchildren, Coulson, Adeline, Holden, and Katelyn; brothers, Donald (Sally) Griggs, Barry (June) Griggs, Richard (Diane) Griggs, Thomas (Cathie) Griggs; and his large extended family of in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Randall was a loyal, dependable, and selfless soul who will be greatly missed by all those who had the honor of knowing him.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Southern Memorial Park.
