Randall Kuhn, known to most as Randy, passed away on November 12, 2024, at HaysMed, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and an undeniable zest for life. Born on January 18, 1956, in Wichita, Kansas, Randy was a proud graduate of Hays High School, where he initially showcased his talent as a naturally gifted athlete.
Throughout his life, Randy became well-known in the community as a small engine mechanic and the owner of Mini Motors in Victoria. His skills and dedication set him apart in his field, earning him respect and admiration from fellow mechanics and customers alike.
In his youth, Randy was a fervent flat track motorcycle racer, participating in events that reflected his adventurous spirit. His passion for sports extended beyond racing; he was an avid sportsman who loved to fish, hunt, and spend time outdoors. He enjoyed cheering on the KU Jayhawks and Kansas City Chiefs. Those who knew him appreciated not just his competitive nature but also his ability to bring people together with his remarkable smile and infectious enthusiasm.
Randy is survived by his fiancée, Patty Rupp, and his three children: son Landon (Gina) Kuhn of Ponca City, and daughters Katie (Bill) Leikam and Kara (Jared) Burkholder, both of Victoria. Together with five grandchildren: Riley, Cruz, Dax, Wrenlee, and Rhetta and numerous nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his fiancée’s family: Jason and his children: Emma, Finley, and Hatcher; Jenn (Alex) and their children: Haylee, Liam and Maddison. He is also remembered by his brother, Mike (Chele) Kuhn of Topeka, and his sister, Becky (Mike) Rupp of Victoria.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Barbara (Learned) Kuhn, and his sister, Sherrill.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to: The Community Assistance Center in care of the Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held on November 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Brock's-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory located at 2509 Vine St, Hays, KS 67601, with a reception following the services. His family invites all who knew him to join them in celebrating a life well-lived and fondly remembered.
