Mr. Randy Lummer, 65, of rural Camp Point, IL, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, at his home.
Randy was born December 1, 1960, in Quincy, IL, the son of Arnold “Bud” and Florence C. (Stuckman) Lummer. He married Kelly Marie Walton on February 3, 1978, in Quincy. She survives.
Randy spent his life working on the farm and operating heavy equipment until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether riding his side-by-side with his dog, hunting, trapping, or fishing. His greatest passion was teaching his sons, grandchildren, and friends about the joy of the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Kelly; his sons, Col. R. Arron Lummer (Melinda), Eric L. Lummer (Misty), and Evan W. Lummer (Angela); his grandchildren, Alex, Hayden, Kaitlynn, Zane, Zoey, Kinley, and Kinser; his sisters, Linda Franke (Jim) and Karen Parks (Jim); and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sandra Lummer.
Randy was cremated. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Lummis Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point. Private funeral services will be held.
Memorials may be made to the Mississippi Valley Hunting and Fishermen's Association youth hunting programs or the Central Trap Team.
