Gary P Lummer

Gary Lummer, 65, of Kinnelon, NJ, died on October 25th, 2023, surrounded by friends and family after a strong battle with cancer. He was born in Glen Ridge, NJ and lived all of his life in Kinnelon, NJ. Gary graduated from Kinnelon High School and attended the Pipefitters Local Union #274 Apprenticeship Program, graduating first in his class. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Theresa (Terry) in 1981, and they shared 42 wonderful years together.
Gary worked as a pipefitter for 33 years, serving in roles as Mechanical Superintendent, General Foreman, and Journeyman. His home and family were his pride and joy. He loved working around the house, the annual family trip to LBI, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is pre-deceased by his father, Richard. He is survived by his wife, Terry, daughter Meredith and husband Kyle, son Rick and wife Amanda, daughter Shannon and husband Matt, daughter Tracy and husband Rob, grandchildren Liam and Oliver, his mother Wilma, brother Steve and wife Linda, and nieces Chrissy and Cindy.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 2:00pm-6:00pm, at the Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, 86 Bartholdi Ave, Butler, NJ. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, October 30, 2023 also at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the service at Our Lady of the Magnificat Cemetery, 2 Miller Rd., Kinnelon, NJ.
