Randall Lee McCalley

Funeral services for Randall Lee McCalley, age 85, of Palestine are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Herrington Funeral Home, officiated by Larry Trahan. A burial will follow at Land of Memory Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Herrington Funeral Home.

Mr. McCalley passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at his home.

Randall McCalley was born on June 7, 1940, in Three Rivers, Texas, to Raymond Radford McCalley and Verdia Edwards McCalley. He worked as an engineer for Union Pacific Railroad until his retirement. Randall had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid gun collector and loved gathering with family and friends for BBQs and fish fries. Above all, Randall cherished time spent with his grandchildren and family. He was a devoted family man whose strong values and love for those closest to him were evident throughout his life.

Mr. McCalley was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Verdia McCalley; and his sister, Evelyn. He is survived by his wife, Jean McCalley; sons, Gary McCalley, Steven Paul McCalley, and Stephen Salas; daughter, Lisa Richard; brother, Bobby McCalley; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
