Randall Miller Obituary

Published by Walker Funeral Home & Crematory - Sylvania on Sep. 11, 2011.
Randall Thomas Miller, age 44, died September 11, 2011, at his home in Maumee, Ohio. Randall was born May 22, 1967, in Buena Park, California, to Thomas W. and Mary J. Miller. A memorial service is to be held at Westgate Chapel in Toledo on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. He was a well-read, intelligent young man, who could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He was particularly talented in graphic arts and working with the deaf and the handicapped. Randall attended Temple Christian Academy in Fremont, Ohio, and Emanuel Baptist High School in Toledo, Ohio. His interests were family, reading, snowboarding, skateboarding and playing paintball. He was a wildly devoted father and enjoyed his kids' school and athletic events. He was so proud of both of them. His sons were his largest love in life and what he was most passionate about. Randall had a huge heart and held his children, family and the people around him close to his heart. He spent many years working with special needs youth and adults and had a special way with those in need. Randall was a wonderful uncle to his nieces and nephews and always had a way with helping the kids and making things fun. He married Kathryn Swope in 1988 (They later divorced). He is survived by sons, Aaron Randall and Tyler Lawrence (Kathryn Copeland), brothers, Toby Wayne (Sarah) Miller and Curtis Jon (Alana) Miller, mother, Mary J. (Miller) Trautwein, three nieces and three nephews, step father, Lynn E. Trautwein, and four step brothers and two step sisters. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas W. Miller. Memorial contributions for Randall may be given to his sons' education fund, c/o Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West St., Genoa, OH 43430.
