Randall "Randy" Craig Olson, age 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on August 29, 2025, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Randy was born on August 23, 1950, in Clintonville, Wisconsin, to the late Carl and Theda (Salzman) Olson. A proud graduate of Clintonville High School, Class of 1968, he went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. Randy dedicated his professional life to healthcare, serving as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. His confident demeanor, precision, and compassion made him a trusted presence in every operating room he entered.

On December 1, 1978, Randy married the love of his life, Christine Mattick. One of his favorite stories to share was about their three wedding ceremonies, which gave them three anniversary dates to celebrate-a testament to their enduring love and shared sense of humor. Together, Randy and Chris welcomed three beautiful children: Lars, Anders, and Annika. Randy cherished every moment with Christine and their family.

Outside of work, Randy was a man of many interests. He was a hobby pilot who found joy in the skies, a passionate hiker who especially loved exploring the mountains of Arizona, and an avid tennis player who never missed a chance to hit the court. He was also a proud chocoholic, always ready to indulge in his favorite sweet treat. Randy found immense joy in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who lovingly knew him as "Papa." Seeing them grow and sharing in their lives brought him endless happiness.

Randy will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and Papa. He loved being the 'funny guy' to those around him. His bear hugs were legendary, and you could feel his warmth envelope you. He had a deep faith in Jesus, which brings us comfort knowing that he will still be cheering for his beloved Brewers and Packers from up above.

He is survived by his wife, Christine; his children, Lars Olson (Jacquelyn) and Annika Krouse (Dane); his daughter-in-law, Samantha Olson; his six grandchildren: Alyson, Damien, Oliver, Soren, Elin, and Rogue; and his siblings, Gary Olson (Barb), Joanne Boyer (Richard), and Doug Olson (Cindy). He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Theda, and his son, Anders (Samantha).

A memorial service will be held to honor Randy's life. Visitation will take place on September 20th at First Presbyterian Church, 15552 WIS-32, Lakewood, WI 54138, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by the service starting at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross in Randy's honor.
