Ann Pfeifer Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jun. 24, 2025.
Ann K. Pfeifer, age 83, passed away on June 18, 2025 at Brewster Village in Appleton. She was born to Charles and Gladys (Wainer) Pfeifer on October 8, 1941. Ann attended Clintonville High School and went on to earn an undergraduate degree from UW Madison as well as graduating from UW Law School. Ann had a number of career paths in her life: She was a fashion buyer for a large department store in New York. After Ann returned to Wisconsin, she was an investigator for the Wisconsin Department of Labor, and went on to become an administrative judge for the State of Wisconsin for many years. Ann loved the Waupaca chain of lakes and after retirement she resided in King, near her brother and sister-in-law. There was competition for years between her and Fred about who would be first into the lake after ice-out;
Ann had a wry sense of humor and her favorite pastime was reading books. She traveled to Europe with family and to Texas in the winter. She also helped care for her mother's sister who was ill with ALS.
Ann was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Pfeifer and her sister Jane Lehman.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Pat Pfeifer, Nephew, Paul (Anita) Lehman, Nieces Alecia (Steve) Copeland and Lindsey (Troy) Mueller.
The family would like to offer special thanks and gratitude to the incredible staff at Brewster Village for their extraordinary care for Ann over the years that she was a resident there.
