Randall 'Randy' L. Perry, 82, of Greenwood, IN, peacefully passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025 in Greenwood, IN. He was born in Mt. Carmel, IL on September 29, 1943 to Estol Perry and Sylvia (Chanley) Perry.
Randy is survived by his son, Randall Perry, Jr. of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, his step-daughters, Elena Lecona(Adam Tester) and Erika Lecona (Ryan Crouch) of Indianapolis, Indiana, brothers, Donald (Joan) Perry of Mt. Carmel, Rator Perry of Mt. Carmel, Theren (Nancy) Perry of Ellery, Illinois, nieces and nephews. Randy was a proud grandfather to Gabriella Lecona, Jasmine Crouch and Ryan Crouch Jr. He is preceded in death by his brothers, William Perry, Gary Perry, Sr., sister Phyllis L. Green, and nephew Brian Perry.
Randy grew up with his Aunt Goldie in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. Randy served during Vietnam in the Army for 3 years. He worked for Merchants National Bank for over 20 years.
He was known by family and friends for his kindness, generosity, love of sports, loyalty, fun-loving character, good humor, patience, and a 'tell it like it is' personality. He loved Pepsi, Bud Light (Budweiser for many years) and his sweets. For years, Randy could be found bowling strikes with the Merchants Bowling League. Some of his favorite hobbies included, fishing in Mt. Carmel with his family, horse racing, reading the newspaper, interacting with the tv during a Bob Knight IU Basketball game, watching the Colts, playing poker with friends, listening to Golden Oldies, watching car racing, golfing, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. He was cherished by all as he created a presence of warmth and humor.
He will be fondly remembered by those who knew him, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
A Memorial service will be held to celebrate Randy's life at the Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250 on
Saturday, January 10, 2026. Doors will open at 12:00 pm. Service will begin at 1:00 pm.
