Randall D. "Randy" Rush, 54, of Shelbyville died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006.

Born Oct. 18, 1952, in Bloomington, he was the son of William Paul and Berniece Irene (Allison) Rush. He married Susan Jackson on June 15, 2001, and she survives.

Other survivors include his mother; four children, Jennifer (husband, Chad) Christian, Julie (husband, Troy) Merrick, Jill (husband, Matt) Holbrook and Dean Rush; one brother, William P. (wife, Rhonda) Rush Jr.; and three grandchildren, Cevin Christian, Cassandra Christian and Evan Merrick.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Rush had been an electrician for more than 34 years and was the owner of Randy Rush Electric Inc.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving as a PACI Dive Master.

Mr. Rush was a member of Greenwood Christian Church.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hope's Point Baptist Church, 1703 Miller Ave.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Flanner & Buchanan Washington Park East Funeral Center, Indianapolis, is handling the arrangements.
