Randall (Randy) Keith Spence

April 20, 1956 - January 28, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Randall Keith Spence of Buford, GA. Randy was diagnosed with dementia 3 years ago and liver cancer the following year. Randy passed away peacefully in his sleep Wednesday morning on January 28th after his long battle.

Randy was born in Memphis, TN on April 20, 1956. He was the youngest son to Lamar and Doris Spence from Pelham, Georgia.

He went to Chamblee High School and enjoyed playing football. Right out of high school, Randy went into the military. He was a Surveyor in the Army during the 1970's and made this his career after his service in the military. After the military he went to West Georgia College to play football as a kicker and continue his education.

Randy enjoyed building and racing motorcycles and race cars, fishing, boating on Lake Lanier, and gardening in his spare time. He was always staying busy, he never liked to be idle.

Randy was a devoted and loving family man who always tried to make you smile. He is survived by his eldest daughter, Dana Smith, and son-in-law, Shaun Smith, and their two children, Kylee and Zachary Smith; his second child, daughter Amanda Spence, and her two children, Garrett and Jacob Spence; his youngest child, son Alston Spence; and his oldest brother, Gary Spence, and his wife, Brenda. He was preceded in death by his wife, Denise Spence, and his parents, Lamar and Doris Spence and his sister, Gayle Purcell.

His memorial will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA on Tuesday February 10th at 11am.
