Randall Mackie Vanover was born on July 21, 1953 in Laurel County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Jack Vanover, Sr. and Mary Louise Reams Vanover. He was united in marriage to Amy Pennington Vanover who preceded him in death. He is survived by a son, Ernest Vanover of Frederick, Maryland; two siblings, Martha Baker and husband Tracy; Russell Vanover and wife Helen all of London, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Iven Vanover, Veronica Vanover, Victoria Vanover and Morgan Vanover plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents and wife he was also preceded in death by three siblings, Michael Vanover, Linda Burkhart and Jack Vanover, Jr.
Randy began his work life at Chappell's Dairy which later became Flavorich while still in High School. He worked as a delivery driver for over 40 years before he retired with health issues. Randy was gentle, kind and cared more about helping others than helping himself. He had a love for Airplanes, Guns and Guitars and in his later years he found his most enjoyment in spending time with his family.
Randall Mackie Vanover departed this life on Thursday, September 12, 2024 being 71 years, 1 month and 22 days of age.
The funeral service for Randall Mackie Vanover will be conducted at 2 pm Friday, September 20th in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Wayne House officiating. Burial will follow in Reams Cemetery in London.
The family of Randall Mackie Vanover will receive friends beginning at 1 pm Friday, September 20th until the service hour of 2 pm at Bowling Funeral Home.
