Sadly, Randolph "Randy" T. Cook, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, June 16, 2023.
Randy was a man with the biggest heart and the best sense of humor, who made friends with everyone he met. His infamous nicknames: Randy Re-Rock, Randy Andy Kane, Uncle Ran, Bad Chicken, to name a few - were a testament to just how endearing he was. He was always available to lend a hand, man a grill, host a party, help with a move or home project - all while telling stories and cracking jokes.
To see his smile, that would put a twinkle in his eye, all you had to do was ask him about his loving wife, Natalie; his daughter, Stefanie, aka "Sweet Pea"; or his beautiful granddaughter, Madison. If you were at Randy and Natalie's house for one of their epic get togethers, chances are you had the vintage blue piggy bank pushed your way to contribute to putting Maddie through college one day.
Randy left a lasting impact on almost everyone he met in life. He was not only a longtime friend but considered a son/brother by the families of the late Jack TerHaar, the late Andy Kane and of Stanley Dobromil.
He established long lasting bonds by being a member of the Order of Odd Fellows and the Muskie Brothers of Goose Bay. Randy was a hard worker. He worked for Dolomite Products for many years and then worked as a welder/fabricator for Hansen Aggregates for the past ten years. He loved his dog Sable, vintage shopping with his wife, cooking, fishing, music (favorites Ozzy Osbourne and guilty pleasure Cindy Lauper), casinos, horse racing and cookies with a big glass of milk.
Randy's passion and skills for cooking could rival any trained chef - his homemade "Soprano's" pizza and secret recipe meat sauce were always requested by his friends and family. He showed his love and thoughtfulness through his creations in the kitchen, almost single-handedly keeping his Sweet Pea fed through her college years by stuffing her mini-fridge with homemade frozen dinner meals.
In 2013, Randy and Natalie purchased a 1966 Ford Thunderbird. They attended many classic car shows throughout the Northeast. If you stopped to admire their shiny T-bird, he would eagerly tell you the true story about how the car really was owned by a "little old lady from Pasadena".
Randy is survived by his wife of 13 years, Natalie (D'Amico) Cook; his only daughter, Stefanie (Joey) Pritchard and granddaughter, Madison; close niece, Erica (Marty) Cook; his mother, Barbara Cook; his brothers Jim Cook and Ray (Kathy) Cook; his sister, Laura LaManna; and several other nieces and nephews. Also survived by his wife's family; his mother-in-law, Mary D'Amico; brother-in-law, Frank (Theresa) D'Amico; sister-in-law Arlene VanDeMortel; and loving nephews, as well as the Chester family. He is predeceased by his father, Herbert (Jim) Cook and his brother Roger Cook.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you help them remember Randy's fun and loving spirit by sharing your favorite memories, photos and stories - either by writing in this website guest book or bringing them to the service. Randy has been my neighbor and friend for almost 20 yrs. He had the biggest heart and always just wanted to laugh and have fun. I've heard the little old lady story about the t-bird many times, but it never got old. He was so emphatic that he found the original owner and assured her it was in good hands. He loved that car! Outside of his infectious laugh and smile, loyal friend and just all around great guy, I'm gonna miss seeing the t-bird role around the corner when the weather gets nice. RIP brother! You'll be sorely missed!

Dear Natalie- you did such an incredible job of capturing the essence of Randy in his obituary. He was a sweet, kind and great man, and it was clear how loving he was- especially when it came to you. I am so so sorry that you lost him so soon. I will miss his smile and laugh and stories, and the I feel lucky to have known him. God bless him and you. Hang on to all those special memories until you can see him again one day. Love, Cathy D
