Randolph Leigh Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hippensteel Funeral Home, Inc. on Feb. 15, 2026.
Randolph "Randy" Leigh, 76, of Lafayette, passed away on February 11, 2026, at IU Hospital.

Randy was born February 6, 1950, to Randolph and Margaret Ann (Parham) Leigh. On June 6, 1975, he married Marilyn Fetter in Crawfordsville, Indiana. They shared fifty years of marriage.

He graduated from Wabash College in 1972 and worked as a member of the Carpenter's Local Union 215. He took pride in his trade and in the value of skilled, honest work.

Randy enjoyed canoeing on Sugar Creek, gardening, and reading history. He appreciated thoughtful discussion about politics and faith or watching a really good movie. He was an amazing cook, loved his animals, and had a profound love for all of God's creation

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, his children, Michael (Sophia) Leigh of Chicago, IL, Shannon Leigh of Tampa, FL, and Thomas Leigh of Austin, TX; his brother, Peyton (Helen) Leigh of Decatur, TN; his aunt, Darlene Morina of Paulsboro, NJ, and his uncle, Emerson (Lorraine) Pobanz of West Deptford, NJ, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Norvell Leigh Seager.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date in Tennessee.

Memorial contributions may be made to Food Finders or St. John's Episcopal Church.
