Randolph "Randy" Bernard Tydings, Sr., 55, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at his home in Warsaw, VA. He was born on November 4, 1969, in Essex County, VA and was raised in the Partlow area of Spotsylvania County, VA.

Randy was a proud member of the Eagles Lodge, where he volunteered for many years.

An outdoorsman at heart, he loved fishing and crabbing, often spending peaceful days by the water. Randy was also a football and baseball fan and looked forward to watching the Washington Commanders and Fredericksburg Nationals every season. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Eagles. His mother-in-law, Gloria, and wife, Carol Ann, loved him very much and they enjoyed every minute spent together.

Survivors include his wife of 8 ½ years, Carol Ann Tydings; sons, Randolph Bernard Tydings, Jr. (Megan) and Chris Tydings; grandson, Maverick Tydings; brother, Willie Tydings (Vicki); mother, Shirley Cole; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Tydings.

A service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
