Randy Baatz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Serenity Funeral Home of Bluffdale on Sep. 24, 2024.
MY DARLING,HUSBAND RANDY EDWARD BAATZ has moved home into Heaven to be with Jesus on September 15, 2024. 13 days before his 62nd birthday. He was mercifully taken in an instant. That night he was called into work to fix the gate so residents could leave and come home through the gate. Randy then called to tell me happily he was coming home which always made us happy. He then was telling me how he fixed the gate when in midst of his talking he went silent. It was so fast. In the blink of an eye God took him. Then I heard his body releasing air...A woman who was at the scene where the car drove itself into a parked abandoned car heard my voice over Randy's car dash phone and kindly gave me the location of my husband.. God took him just at first seconds of massive heart attack. My voice was the last he heard. God made sure we were together during this moment. God was kind to us both.
Randy loved his work and everyone he worked with. He had God's father heart. Everyone he worked with he treated with honor respect with kindness. The song that he loved was Tim Mcgraw BE HUMBLE AND KIND......this song describes Randy beautifully! He loved his family and his family loved him. I felt Jesus arms around me when he held me. I saw his everlasting unconditional love in his eyes and in his smile. Daily we told each other we loved each other. We did everything together.
In 2003 we got married in 2011 we both became ordained ministers. We prayed for the sick in hospitals we did a radio show we married couples in Florida. We then traveled from Key West Florida to St Augustine to from Atlantic Ocean to Gulf of Mexico to San Diego California and Pacific Ocean to whale watching cruises off Newport Beach. We hit Sequoias and touched the ancient trees and walked deep death valley salts... we visited Yellowstone we saw the northern lights in Idaho. We lived in Nevada we walked the mountain trails in Mt Charleston where we sledded on the 9000 foot level Christmas mornings! We walked and drove thru Utah mountains and moved out there. We saw so much together! Our hearts filled with memories!
We dreamed of buying land and moving out into the hills of the mountains large enough for our children to build too. Last 2 weekends we drove into Wyoming still looking for our land... our daughter in law had a dream last week. She saw Randy younger and his white pants and top had a shimmer. He was working with wood and told her for family to help me so I can be strong. He said this land which a as on a hill in front of many hills and mountains to be seen with flowers trees a pond was the family,s land where we will all be together..He said he loves me and is building for him and I a forever home he said..my son in law who passed 20 months ago is there with him. He is married to my daughter. He said they both have peace and are more than okay!! Thank you Lord for Your kindness to my soulmate my best friend whom I am one with forever! We will forever worship Jesus as one!..
Randy gave his all in everyone he came in contact with. He has no regrets, except I know we wanted more time...But we have forever!!

I've missed Randy since we stopped working together. The last time I saw him, gave him tight hug goodbye. I didnt imagined that would be the last. I'll always look back fondly on our sunrise coffee breaks.

Randy was seriously one of the most talented and kind maintenance supervisors I've had the pleasure to work alongside. Truly a wonderful friend
