Randy Dale Barber

Randy Dale Barber of Granite, Oklahoma; passed unexpectedly late July 2024 in his childhood home. Randy, born to Roger Richard Barber and Bertha Lou Barber on January 26, 1956, was one of four siblings. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Roger Erwin Barber. He is survived by his brother Richard Lavel Barber and sister Judy Lou Linton. Randy lived the life of a patriot, serving four years in the United States Army Special Forces with tours to Vietnam and Germany most notably. Upon discharge from the military, Randy sought his Criminal Justice Degree from Central Texas College and continued to serve his community with his careers as a Law Enforcement Officer and State Correctional Officer. Randy served with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and Retired as a Captain for the Oklahoma State Reformatory in 2021. Randy was a talented craftsman, especially in his leatherwork and showed a proficiency for many other interests such as carpentry/building and anything mechanical/technological. Randy was known to have a love of flea markets, western movies/tv shows, guns, fishing/hunting, raising agriculture, and of course a good ride on his harley. Randy was known to his community as a mentor, friend, and "internet wizard".
Randy's children invite those who wish to pay respects to join them for the graveside service at the Roselawn Cemetery located in Mangum, Greer County, Oklahoma on at 10am Friday, September 20, 2024.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Greer Funeral Home, Granite, Oklahoma.
