Randy Allen Bates of Houston, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in his home, at the age of 51. He was born on October 25, 1971 to parents, James Bates and Carleen Bates.
Randy is preceded in death by his father, James Grady Bates, his mother, Carleen Taylor, and his brother, James "Bubba" Bates.
Randy leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beautiful daughters: Jessica Marie Bates, Megan Michelle Bates/ Kovitz, and
Allie Janee Bates/Kovitz; granddaughter, Lily Clark; sisters: Jeanie Bates Carter (Tab Carter), Kristi Bates, and Darcy Bates
(Brandon Windham); brother, Jake Bates and his mother, Susie Bates; nieces: Riley and Brynlee; nephews: Richard (Shawna
Bates), Chad, Dillon, and Curtis; great nieces and nephew, Alyssa, Cadence, and Caleb; as well as a host of aunts, uncles,
other relatives, and many close friends. His best buddies growing up were Craig, Eddie, Mark, Jason, Marty, and Doug, whom
you hardly saw one without the other in the good times.
Randy was a very happy-go-lucky man and was known for his kind, cheerful smile. He loved being around family, eating a
good meal, flying his drone, and working a backhoe. His best friend was his dog Cane, who was with him at his demise.
Randy and Cane were inseparable. Cane is now living with Jeanie, and though he misses Randy daily, he is doing fine.

An Stewal Memory
_ Life Is Not The Same
Without You
The sun still rises in the east and darkness falls at night
but nothing now seems quite the same each day is not as bright
The birds still sing, the flowers grow the breeze still whispers. too but it will never, ever be the same world without you
It's so sad that you had to go your leaving caused such pain
but vou were so very special and earth's loss is heaven's gain

Randy your sudden departure left us all stunned for sure. However the wonderful memories we all have of you will forever live in our hearts. You were a beautiful person inside and out with a smile that could light up any room. I will still be looking and questioning who that good looking man is over there? That was you of course and I will never forget the sweet hugs I got when I saw you! A memory that will live in me forever. I love you! Rest in peace now and send signs to Jeanie to let her know you are okay and that you are with the rest of the family! We love you ♥
