Randy Branson

Randy Joseph Branson, age 64, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024, at his home.
He was born on June 9, 1959, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Oscar Louis and Joan Veronia (Schaefer) Branson.
As a lifelong resident of Jefferson City, Randy was a 1977 graduate of Jefferson City High School. Randy then started his employment for Sears on the docks for over 10 years. He then went on to work for Mid-America Truss where he assisted in the construction of trusses for many homes and businesses.
When Randy's ill health forced him into retirement, he found himself spending more time outdoors fishing, hunting, going on four-wheeler rides, meticulously maintaining his lawn and feeding the hummingbirds. He also enjoyed bowling and playing pool, winning several awards in both activities. Randy was a very down-to-earth man who appreciated the simple things in life and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Randy is survived by his sister, Sandy Wadley (Terry) of Jefferson City; nephews, Bryce and Tyler Branson, and Jeremy Matheson; niece, Ashley Wadley; niece-in-law, Kate Matheson; great-niece, Kayla; great-nephew, Trenton; and Randy's good friend, Steve Kever.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Joan Branson; brother, Louis Branson; nephew, Kevin Matheson; and several aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life for Randy will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the Taos Countryside Park, 4909 Countryside Park Rd., Jefferson City, Mo., 65101.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Randy Branson memorial Fund, P.O. Box 95, Jefferson City, Mo., 65101.
