Randy Gene Colby, 70, of Kennewick, WA, went home to his Heavenly Father on April 17, 2022, with his family by his side. He was born June 9, 1951, in Richland, WA to Melvin Ambrose and Velda Marie (Stephens) Colby.
Randy graduated from Kennewick High School. He lived in the Tri-Cities, after graduation he moved to Garfield, Spokane and Pullman and returned to the Tri-Cities in the late 90's.He married Kristy Dee Ann (Robertson) Colby on June 7, 2014. Randy was a retired Dial a Ride Driver in Pullman, WA. He was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church. Randy had many hobbies and interests among the many were Camping in Pine Trees, landscaping "Colby Park" his back yard, eating out with his family; he especially enjoyed taking his sister out for breakfast. He had a sweet tooth and loved his sweets like "crazy cake" and other desserts. He also liked old guns and in his early years he enjoyed target shooting with his 22 rifle and building forts. He liked going to Car Shows and Rock Concerts. Randy was an avid Hydro Race fan he attended races from 1973 ~ 2021 and will attend "2022 in spirit". Some of the best memories were created in the summers with his Grandma Colby, aunts, uncles, and cousins in Idaho. Randy loved his grandchildren, old western and Christian books. He had a favorite saying "That was fun!"
He is survived by his wife, Kristy Colby; his children Rick (Jen) Colby, Sherrie (Augie) Martinez; stepchildren, Dwight (Christmas) Robertson, Raymond Robertson, and Rebecca Robertson; six grandchildren Steven, Audrey, Marcus, Sammie, Blake and Baylee; his sister Sandie (Joe) King; brother Mike (Joni) Colby, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Velda Colby, brother Steven L. Colby and his grandparents.
A celebration of life will be held on May 14, 2022, at 4pm at the "Colby Park" 4507 W. Rio Grande Ave. Kennewick, WA 99336. There is a family support page at https://gofund.me/782e7269 if you would like to visit.
