Randy Del Bosque Obituary

Visit the Martinez Funeral Home and Crematory - Odessa website to view the full obituary.

Randy Del Bosque, a cherished individual, left us on November 12, 2025. Born on October 19, 1959, Randy lived a life filled with tremendous passion and love.

Randy laughed loudly, loved fiercely, and told jokes that made your belly hurt from laughing so much. He lived the kind of life that didn’t need to fit neatly into a formal obituary, because nothing about him was ever ordinary.

Randy’s heart belonged to Hortencia, his high school sweetheart and lifelong partner. Their love story was the kind people quietly wish they could live up to. He was the kind of husband that could fix anything- leaky pipes, squeaky doors, broken appliances, you name it. The house stood strong because Randy made sure of it.

And the lawn? That was his kingdom. Perfect lines, trimmed edges, grass so well-kept it became an oasis in the middle of the desert. Caring for his home was his way of caring for her. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his wife. Loving her was one of his greatest joys, and he showed it in a thousand quiet, steady ways.

Randy was a loving, funny, wonderfully stubborn and strict father who raised his children with equal parts, mischief and tenderness. His two daughters Mandi and Melanie were the joys of his life. He had a talent for turning the simplest moments- fixing something, telling a story, teasing someone he loved, into memories that stuck.

As a grandad, Randy was pure magic. The kind of grandad who makes his granddaughters feel like the world was an adventure, and he was their favorite guide. He loved big, joked big, lived big with Brooklyn and Jae.

Instead of mourning what the world lost, we’ll celebrate a one-of-a-kind soul who left laughter, love, and countless unforgettable moments.

Randy wouldn’t want us whispering goodbyes. He’d want a toast, a story, a shared memory, maybe even a little misbehavior. So, here’s to him: our loving father, devoted husband, protective brother, favorite uncle, funny friend and wonderful Grandad. May his spirit keep us laughing when life gets too quiet.

Randy is survived by his wife Hortencia Ramirez Del Bosque, daughters Mandi and Melanie, and significant others Carolina and Carlos, granddaughters Brooklyn and Jae, his father Rosendo, brothers Larry and Paul, and their wives Mari and Sandra, sisters and brothers-in-law Oliva and Tom Duckworth, Tony and Ofelia Pallanez, Rey and Yolanda Ramirez, Josie and Ruben Dominguez, and countless Urias and Del Bosque family and nieces and nephews who he loved and cherished.

A special thank you to everyone who has reached out, sent flowers or food and his last caregivers Rebeca Garcia and especially Idrina Preston – you have been not only his but OUR angel these last years.
