Mr. Randy Dowdy, age 77, resident of Newhope, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was born on December 10, 1948, in Willapa Bay, Washington. He was a member of the Athens Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from D&E and served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harless Grady and Laura Mae Henley Dowdy; his wives, Charlene Dowdy and Kathy Dowdy; and one sister, Wanda Christine Shaver.

He is survived by his daughter, Connie (Kevin) Harp; one son, Jeff Dowdy of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and four grandchildren, Colton Harp of Horatio, Dawson Harp (Leigha) of De Queen, Weston Harp (Audrey) of Fayetteville and Laura Mae Harp of De Queen; three great grandchildren, Landon Harp, Blaze Harp, and Wren Harp; one brother, Harlan (Gloria) Dowdy of De Queen and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Dowdy will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 7, 2026, in the Redmen Cemetery Pavilion, with Scott Kitchens officiating, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in De Queen.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the funeral home in De Queen.
