Gregory Hart Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wilkerson Funeral Home - De Queen on Feb. 9, 2026.
Gregory Shannon "Shane" Hart, 58, passed away in Lockesburg, Arkansas. Born and raised in El Dorado, Arkansas, Shane later made his home in Royal, Arkansas, where he lived his life with humor, generosity, and an open heart.

Shane was a construction worker by trade, but anyone who knew him knew his true calling was making people laugh. He was a comedian at heart, happiest when he had a new joke to tell or a smile to put on someone else's face. Even in hard moments, he believed laughter mattered. One of his favorite sayings captured who he was perfectly: "If you see someone without a smile, give them yours." And he did-freely, often, and without expecting anything in return.

Shane never had much, but he would give anything he had to someone in need. He was the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back, no questions asked. A good man in the truest sense, he showed love through actions, kindness, and an unwavering willingness to help others.

He was a devoted father and proud grandfather who loved his family deeply. Shane is survived by his mother, Paula Cassil; his fiancée, Sherry McGoogan; his son, Gregory Adam Hart; his daughter, Samantha Elizabeth Drake; and his beloved grandchildren, Ryleigh, Raiden, and Rhemi Drake, who brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Nicci Hart, and his nephews Zachariah and Hunter Hart.

Shane will be remembered for his laughter, his generosity, and the light he brought into every room he entered. His jokes, his smile, and his big heart will live on in the many lives he touched.

Services will be announced at a later time.
