Randy Hargis Obituary
He was a retired Army Sgt 1st Class having served for 20 years, a retired Deputy of the Kentucky Department of Corrections with 15 years of service, worked with Off Duty Police Services at UPS, and he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and a friend to all who knew him.
Preceding Randy in death is his father, Hoite Hargis; mother, Carol Unruh; step-father, Abe Unruh; and brother, David Hargis.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 41 years, Mary "Kathy" Hargis; his one and only daughter, Sandra "Dawn" Foley (Travis), Grandsons, Ace Scott Foley and Jak William Foley; siblings, Ronnie Hargis (Connie), Thurman Hargis, Carl Thompson (Sandy); and step-sister, Johanna Mattern.
A celebration of life service will be held at 12 P.M. Saturday at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son Funeral Home, 7336 Southside Drive, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be 2-8 P.M. Friday, and after 10 A.M. Saturday at Rattermans.

He was a great man! He was my Captain at KCIW 15 years ago! One of the few that looked out for me in my 4 years there! The world lost a good man!
