Randy G. Hermann was born on June 24th, 1953, in Topeka, Kansas, and departed this world on January 18th, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas.
Randy was born to Mary E Hermann (Perryman) and Ralph E. Hermann on June 24th, 1953, in Topeka, Kansas. Randy graduated from Perry High School and attended computer information courses at Washburn University. Randy joined the United Stated Army in 1972 in an effort to “behave” and find a career. Randy began working for the State of Kansas Division of Printing subsequently retiring as a Press Operator over 25 years later.
Through the years Randy enjoyed Golf, Pool, Bowling, and fishing until his health left him unable to enjoy those activities. Fishing was always something special for Randy and his family, often leading to sunburns, long naps, and very little fish to bring home.
Randy was also lovingly known as “Dad,” “Old Man,” and most importantly “Papa” is survived by his daughter Jenifer Battle (Anthony Battle), and grandchildren Dustyn Hermann (Brianna “Bree” Hermann), LeAnna Battle (Christopher “Chris” Kious), and Alijah Battle. Additionally, Randy is survived by Brothers Ralph “Don” Hermann (Marion Hermann) and John Hermann.
Randy is preceded in death by his wife Linda Hermann in 2002, Mother Mary Hermann, 2001, Father Ralph E. Hermann 1977 and Sister Helen “Jean” Geiss 1994.
Please join the family in celebrating the life of Randy on January 29th, 2025, with visitation at 9:30 AM and funeral service at 10:30 AM at Parker Price Davidson 225 NW Independence
Randy will be laid to rest at Prairie Home Cemetery north of Topeka. Proceeding with the burial a reception will be held at Parker Price Davidson 225 NW Independence in the reception center. Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society.
Special Request: please feel free to wear a rock band shirt, a shirt with an eagle design, or anything else that will honor the memory of Randy.
