Randy Paul McLean, 65, of High Point, formerly of Kernersville, passed away Sunday morning March 1, 2026, at Pine Ridge Health and Rehab.
Born June 18, 1960, in Washington County, Tennessee, he was the only child of the late Paul Phipps McLean and the late Mary Irene Irick McLean. Randy was a graduate of Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science and was a North Carolina and Virginia Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. He spent the majority of his distinguished funeral service career at Hayworth-Miller-Cain Funeral Home in Kernersville where he and former owner and dear friend Larry Cain served thousands of families. Randy later worked for Pierce-Jefferson, and later retired from Wright Funerals-Cremations. He was very skilled in the art of embalming and the families he cared for loved him.
Randy is survived by his wife of nearly six years, Ivey Russell McLean of the home; adoptive mother, Becky Mangum; daughters, Michelle Cody, and Scynthia McLean; stepchildren, Christopher Kiestler, and Brittany Anderson; special nephews, Matthew Hobson and Logan Hobson; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 PM Saturday, March 7, 2026, in the High Point Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. CW Moss officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service in the Wright Reception Room, located on the lower level of the funeral home.
Ivey would like to thank all the staff at Pine Ridge Health and Rehab and Thomasville Dialysis Center for their love care and support of Randy.
