Randy M. Murray, has passed away at the age of 66. His life, filled with love and  laughter touched the lives of many. Randy's passing on September 15, 2023, at the McClure Miller Respite House left a void in the hearts of all who knew him. The comfort lies in knowing that he passed away surrounded by his loving family, offering support and love until the very end.

Born on July 2, 1957, in Burlington, Randy was the beloved son of Richard “Red” Murray and Joyce "Peanut" (Mcginness) Murray. Growing up alongside his siblings,  Gary Murray, Mark Murray, Penny Murray  and the late Richard Murray, Jr.  Randy learned the values of hard work, dedication and perseverance.

Randy's love story unfolded when he met Lynn (Cauchon) Murray 51 years ago. They exchanged their vows on June 11, 1976, in Burlington. Over the years their bond grew stronger with each passing year and together they shared a lifetime of cherished memories.

In addition to his wife Lynn, Randy leaves behind a legacy that lives on through his four children: Christine Patterson and her husband Russell, Norman Murray, Derek Murray and his partner Tabitha Adam, Jessica Benjamin and her husband Timothy. Through his children, Randy's kindness and compassion have been passed down to future generations.

With immense pride and love in his heart, Randy watched with joy as his family grew larger. He adored spending time with his nine grandchildren: Ruxel, Alyssa, Tristan, Avah, Paula, Aidan,
Jamison, Dominick, and Avery. They brought endless happiness and laughter into his life. Randy was also blessed with a great-granddaughter,  Athena, who filled his heart with an indescribable joy.

Outside of work and family, Randy had a strong sense of duty and commitment to his country. He served as a member of the Vermont Army National Guard from 1975 to 1981. His selflessness and dedication to protecting the freedoms we hold dear will always be remembered.

Randy embarked on a fulfilling career as a technician for fire suppression systems. For many years, he dedicated himself to ensuring the safety and well-being of others. In his spare time he enjoyed camping, hunting, horseshoes and meeting up with the guys at the Eagles Club.
