Randy, a resident of Brandon, MS, peacefully journeyed to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, April 22, 2024.
Born and raised in Florence, MS, Randy was the beloved eldest son of Sam and Maude Ellen Parker. He leaves behind a legacy of unwavering devotion to his family, a profound passion for Mississippi State University sports, a deep love for the game of golf, and an insatiable curiosity for music and its rich history. Randy's great taste and deep knowledge of music often sparked lively conversations among friends and family, showcasing his undying love for soulful rhythms that echoed through the ages.
Randy's heart belonged to his beloved wife of 50 years, Ginger, and their precious daughter, Ellen. Throughout his career in Education Sales and into his well-deserved retirement, Randy's dedication to his family and his passions remained steadfast.
Despite the rivalry, Randy and Ginger's love transcended college loyalties, proving that true love knows no bounds. As proud Mississippi State University season ticket holders, they shared countless joyous moments cheering on MSU in both home and away games, including numerous bowl and championship games. Over the years, when not at a State game the pair would adventure to Australia to visit their daughter and her family.
One of Randy's greatest joys was his cherished grandson, Lennox. Their bond was unbreakable, whether chatting over the phone or spending cherished moments together. Randy held a special place in Lennox's heart, forever his favorite companion.
Randy is preceded in death by his loving parents, Sam Parker and Maude Ellen Parker, and his brother, Bob Parker.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Ginger Parker, his loving daughter Ellen Parker (Tristan), and his adored grandson, Lennox Clementson. Randy also leaves behind his niece, Jennifer Bolivar (Channing), and their daughter Nora, along with a host of extended family and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will live on eternally in our hearts.
Rest in peace, dear Randy. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know you.
