Randy Ray Salzman

Randy Ray Salzman, 72, passed away on November 9, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri. Born on May 8, 1953, in York, Nebraska, Randy lived a life marked by service, creativity, and deep devotion to his family.
Randy proudly served his country in both the United States Army and Navy. His commitment to duty reflected a strong sense of responsibility and patriotism that remained with him throughout his life.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Janie Salzman; his mother, Veloris Sellmeyer; his five children: Chelsey (Seth) Southard, Wendy Rumar, Courtney (Dusty) Sims, Carey (Daniel) Jensen, and Cody (Kelsey) Salzman; his brother Bill (Linda) Salzman; and a special brother Jamie (Nancy) Morrison. Randy was also a proud grandfather to thirteen grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life.
A man of artistic spirit, Randy found beauty in the world around him. He had a particular fondness for hummingbirds and vibrant colors-symbols of the energy and creativity he carried within him. Whether through art or the simple appreciation of nature's wonders, Randy expressed himself with passion and originality.
His legacy lives on in those who knew and loved him. May his memory bring comfort and inspiration to all whose lives he touched. A visitation will be held on November 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Walnut Lawn Funeral Home with a funeral to follow at 2:00 PM
