Randy Sells

Randy S. Sells, 70, of Fort Dodge, IA, died Saturday, June 24, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his loving children. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Westside Church of Christ, 1132 A Street West, with Pastor James Rogers officiating. Memorials may be directed to the family. Arrangements are with Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge.
Randy was born July 22, 1952, in Fort Dodge, the son of Wilfred and Mary Viola (Currier) Sells. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1971, and continued his education at Iowa Central Community College. He worked in telephone sales and made a lot of friends and connections in those days. He was employed with many companies including the Fort Dodge Messenger, until his retirement in 2020. Randy was an avid baseball lover. For 40+ years, he would umpire in the Fort Dodge community and surrounding areas. Randy was also an avid bowler. He was a member of Westside Church of Christ.
Randy is survived by 2 children: Brandi Atkinson of Blackduck, MN and Richie Sells of Fort Dodge; 3 grandchildren: Danisha Sells, Macey Ams and Arianna Sells; great grandson: Brittan Graves; and 2 siblings: Una Lee Johnson of Champaign Urbana, IL and Donald (Bernie) Sells of Fort Dodge. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Wilfred and Viola Sells; 5 siblings: Juanita Kreball, Alice Ryan, Bob Sells, Bruce Sells, and Mike Sells; and great grandson: Easton Graves.
