Randy Sheffield Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. Randy Sheffield Sr, at 66 years old, of Orange Park,FL on Sunday, September 8,2024. His memorial service will be held at 10 am Saturday September 21, 2024 in the chapel of Jacksonville Memory Gardens in Orange Park, Florida, with dear friend, Rev. Steven Edwards officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. There will not be visitation at the home afterwards.
Randy Sheffield was born November 24,1957. He graduated from Dodge County High school in Eastman,GA in 1975.
He was a loving father, son, husband, and grandfather.
His wife, Sheila, had the privilege of sharing almost 48 years of life with him. Their journey together was not perfect, but it was strong and they stayed the course. He was a good father to his two children, Randy Jr and Jamie. Randy was an even better Papa to his six grandchildren. He taught them so many random things about life and all things "backyard". He had a special bond with each of them. He spent the majority of his career as a parts salesman. He was great at his job and respected by so many. He built relationships with many of his customers and will be truly missed by them. Randy had a profound love of animals, especially the ducks, chickens, pigeons, rabbits, and turtles that he owned. He also enjoyed having various plants and took great pride in growing his own sugar cane. He was a good man to many. He was talkative, goofy, and kindhearted. He will truly be missed.
Randy was preceded in death by his mother Venna Lee Sheffield, his father John Sheffield, his brother Ray Sheffield, and his sister Caroline Spears(her husband, Lewis Spears)
Randy is survived by his beloved wife Sheila Sheffield, his children Randy Sheffield Jr(wife, Christin Sheffield) and Jamie Sheffield, his six grandchildren Skyler Sheffield, Griffin Sheffield, Aaron Harvey, Azaria Harvey, Kerrington Sheffield, and Korbin Sheffield. Also, his sister Jean Brown(husband Tommy Brown), his sister Linda Wrye (husband, Carrell Wrye), his sister Frances Quarles, his brother Ralph Sheffield (wife Kathy Sheffield), his brother Herman Sheffield (wife Irene Sheffield), his sister in law Gloria Sheffield (Ray's wife), his sister in law Kathy Bohannon (husband Randy Bohannon). Also, several nieces and nephews.
