Randy Shipley
Mr. Freddy Randall "Randy" Shipley of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the age of 61. He was born September 17, 1963, the son of Freddy Leman and Betty Sue (Clark) Shipley.
Randy was a 1981 graduate of Tuckerman High School. He went on to become a certified diesel mechanic until his retirement. Randy was a member of the Hickory Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
Randy was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go fishing and always enjoyed tending to his garden. His greatest joy in life came from spending time with his sons and grandchildren.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Jennie Sue (Self) Shipley, of the home; two sons, William Freddy Shipley, of Boston, Massachusetts, and David Randall Shipley and wife, Brittany, of Batesville; two step-sons, Tyler Fortune and wife, Kailie, and T.J. Fortune, all of Tuckerman; two step-daughters, Heaven Onstead and husband, James, of Lake City, and Rebecca Fortune and Miah, of Tuckerman; a sister, Lori Shipley Winemiller, of Elgin; eight grandchildren, Delilah, Mason, Slayden, Kaiden, Marley, Sloane, Xander, and Finley; the mother of his children, Diane Roberts Shipley; and a lifetime of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Jackson's Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. David Burgess officiating. Interment will be in Cheshier Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday, beginning at 12:30 p.m. until service time.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Roger Burgess, David Burgess, Randy Turner, Ronald Riley, Ricky Baker, and Andrew Rowlett.
