Randy Sims, 58, of Farmersville, Texas passed away on Saturday September 21, 2024, at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Rose-Neath Chapel in Mansfield, LA. with Jeremy Phillips officiating. A burial will follow in Spring Ridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Randy was born April 19, 1966, to Jack and Sarah Sims.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his daughter, Haylie Birkhead.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife Kim; his son, Garred Sims; his daughters, Amanda Wade and husband William, Destiny King, Samantha Noble and Lisa Marie Flores; sisters: twin sister, Sandy Gibson and husband Jesse, Francis Sims, Jackie Middleton and husband Chris, Brenda Brevelle and husband David; brothers; Victor Davis and wife Kathy, Virgil Sims, Bobby Sims, Jerry Sims and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Blake Reeves, Karlie and Adelyn Waddell, Jimmy, Wayne, and Jaxson Wade. Randy also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Honoring Randy as pallbearers will be Joshua DeLoach, Nathan Henderson, Austin Henderson, Zack Henderson, Ricky Laffitte, Jack Sims, and Jake Deason. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Sims and Timmy Sims.
Randy worked for 27 years as a heavy equipment operator for Lattimore/Holcim. He was an avid outdoors person, enjoying hunting, fishing, and mudding. Above all, Randy loved his family and always enjoyed spending time with them.
