Randy Evans Tinson, a loving Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle was born on October 10, 1957, in Albany, Georgia. Randy was the third child born to the late Charles E. and Emma L. Tinson. He took his rest and departed this life on March 10, 2025, at the Willson Hospice House.
Randy was educated in the Doughtery County Public School System, graduating from Westover High School in 1975. He attended Albany State College and Albany Technical Institute.
He was afforded opportunities to work in various capacities early in life: Firestone, Albany Fire Department, etc. He found his true calling in the Hospitality-Restaurant industry. Randy's passion for culinary arts allowed him the opportunity to manage several restaurants in the Albany area: Williams Seafood, Rocket, Davis Brothers, and Tadpole on the Creek. Chef Randy was truly gifted and an asset to any team.
Obeying the call of God, Randy gave his life to Christ at an early age. He joined St. Peters Church. His love for family was woven in the fabric of his life; it was evident in many ways. Randy was often, attending big life events with his, daughter, grandkids, siblings, nephews and nieces. Often, taking some to work, accompanying others on their first day of school, visiting the sick or late night/early morning SOS calls.
Randy was preceded in death by his loving parents: Charles and Emma, his sisters: Linda Reid and Phyllis Mosely, his niece: Quamyia Jones and nephew: Ray Simmons.
He leaves to cherish his love and legacy, wife Wanda Tinson, daughter Sharanda (Corey) Taylor, bonus daughters Destiny and D'Undrea Caldwell grandchildren: Shaniya Tinson, Za'Miya Mitchell, Christopher Mitchell and Corey Taylor, Jr: his beloved siblings: Raymond (Darlene), Barbara, Helen, Charles (Mary), Marchie (Trish), Stella, Lawrence, Fanai and Brian. Uncle: Hamp Tinson, Jr. Aunts: Grace Dudley, Flossie Tinson, Minnie Mae Tinson, Annie Florence Tinson, Ruth Pearl Tinson, Gallene Tinson and Shirley Adams. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, he was loved by many.
