Randy Tipton Obituary

He was preceded in death by his father, Randall Tipton; mother, Jimmie Mae Flood; and aunt, Hazel Herpka.
Randy was a firefighter for 18 years and loved the city of Cohutta. He was a jack of all trades. Randy could weld anything, was very experienced in raising animals, and could operate any heavy machinery. Most of all, he loved his grandbabies.
He is survived by his sons, Matthew Tipton and Austin Luffman; daughters, Brittney Swales, Sabrina Luffman, and Halley Tipton; sister, Gena (Gene) Barrett; grandchildren, Paisley Victoria, Addilyn Randi, Kallie Anne, Josh, Layla, and Baby Tip on the way; great-grandchild, Lawson Howard; nephew, Jamie (Lacey) Barrett; and nieces, Nikki (Tyler) Gilreath, Kala "Boss Lady" (Chad) Cloer, and Kara (Justin Stafford) Barrett.
A funeral service will be held at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM with Brother Tyler Gilreath and Brother Wilburn Dycus officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
