It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Randy Dean Treas, who left this world on October 21, 2025, in
Boise, Idaho, at the age of 62. Born in Salmon, Idaho, Randy grew up surrounded by family, mountains, and the small-town values that shaped the adventurous, hardworking, and loving man he would become.
Randy was raised in Salmon by his mother Joy Miller and his stepfather Bob Miller, and in later years, his mother Joy married Dick Corbett. Randy spent many cherished childhood days with his beloved grandmother Harriet Crain, who spoiled him with treats, love, and the kind of memories that never fade. Alongside his siblings, Kim Treas Silvers and Richie (Rich) Miller, Randy spent countless hours with his cousins listening to music, celebrating holidays and birthdays, and playing games-moments filled with laughter and connection that he treasured throughout his life.
A proud graduate of Salmon High School, Class of 1982, Randy carried his deep love for the outdoors into adulthood. He found joy in jet skiing, hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, attending concerts, and simply exploring beautiful places. Camping trips with his brother were among his favorite adventures.
Randy dedicated his professional life to the craftsmanship of stone and tile, where his extraordinary skill, talent, and work ethic were admired by all who knew him. His artistry lives on in the spaces he transformed-lasting reflections of his dedication and pride in his craft.
Above all, Randy lived life fully and joyfully. He deeply cherished spending time with friends and family, creating memories and appreciating life's simple pleasures. With his beloved wife Suzanne (Suzie) Paden Treas, whom he shared 22 years of life and love with, Randy embarked on many adventures-especially trips to hot springs, Oregon, and Hawaii. Hawaii held a special place in his heart; sitting on the beach watching the waves brought him peace and happiness, and he loved sharing beautiful photos from those moments of paradise.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents Bob and Joy Miller and his biological father Joe Treas. He is survived by his loving wife Suzanne Treas; his brother Rich Miller; his sister Kim (Ken) Silvers; niece Daina Dingman; nephew Blake Silvers; and stepchildren Kayleene (Robert) Sevilla and granddaughter Gabby Sevilla, KC Paden, Joe Sowers, and Bailey Sowers. He is also deeply loved and remembered by many aunts, cousins, friends, and extended family.
Randy touched countless lives with his warm heart, adventurous spirit, and ability to make every moment brighter. He lived with passion, kindness, humor, and a love for nature that brought him peace. Those who knew him will forever remember his joyful presence, his dedication to his craft, and his love for exploring the world around him.
May Randy rest peacefully among the mountains, forests, and ocean shores he adored so deeply. His legacy lives on in the beauty he created, the memories he leaves behind, and the hearts of all who loved him.
