Randy Ray VanWormer

Randy Ray VanWormer was 72 when he passed away on July 28, 2025. Cremation has taken place and a future celebration of life will be held. Randy was born in Flint Michigan on November 30, 1952. Son of Ted and Beatrice VanWormer. Father to Jennifer Vargo and Stephanie and Garrett VanWormer. Randy attended Flint Northwestern where he played guitar in a band ' Duke and the Earls' with some of his best friends. Summers were spent at Higgins Lake where he got his love for fishing, boating, and hunting. Randy worked in carpentry and construction with skills he learned from his dad. He was always 'on call' for family and friends in need. Randy was a diehard, Detroit Lions and U of M football fan. He had a memorable witty personality and if he gave you a nickname, he liked you. Forever, cherished and remembered by children Stephanie and Garrett VanWormer, life partner Alisa Bowman, sister Vicki VanWormer, grandchildren Amanda VanWormer, Cassidy and Brendan Vargo, Bryce, Brandyn, Alayna, and Raelynn VanWormer, great grandchild Kelani VanWormer, along with many cousins and friends.
