Rantz Andrew Bally, age 70, of New Lenox passed away with his family and friends at his side January 23, 2025. Beloved Son of Charles R. Bally and Patricia A Bally (Bell) Cherished father to Kelly Bally and Mandy Amato (Bally ) Proud Papa of Helen Gron, Evelyn Amato, Vivian Amato and Jaxson Bally Dearest Brother of Candace (Daniel) Manns (Bally) Fond Uncle of Michael (Nicole) Manns and Robert Manns. His dearly devoted Cousin and Best Friend Daniel Bell. Dearest and loyal friend to Lou Helis, Mark Hogan and Mark Picchi. Thank you to his home health nurses that treated and cared for him as family. Lieutenant Rantz Bally served the New Lenox Fire District for over 30 years as a Firefighter, Lieutenant, and Trustee. Rantz was Rookie of the Year in 1973, Firefighter of the Year in 1984, and endured a life-changing injury while in the line of duty in 1994. He continued to serve the District as Trustee until 1998. Rantz lived a very fulfilling life travelling, deep sea fishing, and spending his time with his family and friends. He was an incredible father and friend. Whether you needed an ear to listen or a good belly laugh, Rantz was always there. He cared and loved his friends, family, and the department he served so very dearly. His laugh, advice and love of jokes, will be forever missed and never replaced. To know Rantz was an absolute treasure and honor. The Legend of our life wished for no memorial service. Please remember him fondly and continue to share stories of his legacy.
