EDCOUCH - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Raquel Garcia Lopez, who left us on December 29, 2025, at the age of 59. Raquel was born on March 21, 1966 in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Raquel dedicated her life to nurturing her family and creating a loving home filled with laughter and joy. Her kindness and unwavering love will be deeply missed by those fortunate enough to be in her life.
Raquel is preceded in death by one sibling. Raquel is survived by her loving husband Rolando Aguilar, children; Jorge Garcia and Jesus G Garza, Jr. Raquel also leaves behind one grandson Keegan Garcia and one granddaughter Lucy Garcia and 11 siblings.
Family and friends will gather on Sunday, January 4, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Chapel in Edcouch.
Funeral mass will be on Monday, January 5, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church in Edcouch. As per Raquel’s wishes, cremation will take place at a later date.
In this difficult time, we take comfort in each other and the countless ways Raquel touched our lives. Her spirit will continue to shine through her family and the many lives she impacted.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Dr. Joseph Conde and staff at Serenity Funeral Chapels located on 1401 E. Santa Rosa Ave Edcouch, Texas 78538.
