Keohane Funeral Home - QuincyErick O. García López, formerly a resident of Massachusetts, passed away on September 7, 2025, at the age of 52.
He was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, the son of Alfredo García and Marta Otilia López. In his teenage years, he moved to the United States with his family and settled in Boston. After graduating from high school, he worked in the restaurant industry and later as a bank teller for many years, most of them at the Cooperative Bank in Roslindale. In the past five years, Erick transitioned from banking to accounting and took great pride in his work.
Erick’s life revolved around his family. He enjoyed watching sports, keeping up with current events, and going out for ice cream with his family. He always loved being surrounded by his loved ones.
Beloved husband of 24 years to Wendy García. Devoted father to Ariel and Saúl García. Cherished son of Marta Otilia López and the late Alfredo García. Loving brother of Blanca Santiago, Ana Leticia Zamora, Brenda García López, Sonia García López, Byron García López, and the late Dora Noemí García López. He is also survived by many relatives whom he adored—nieces and nephews, cousins, uncles, and aunts.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to join the family during visiting hours on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 2 to 6 PM, at Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.
Erick O. García López, anteriormente residente de Massachusetts, falleció el 7 de septiembre de 2025, a los 52 años.
Nació en Ciudad de Guatemala, Guatemala, hijo de Alfredo García y Marta Otilia López. En su adolescencia se mudó a Estados Unidos con su familia y se estableció en Boston. Después de graduarse de la escuela secundaria, trabajó en la industria de restaurantes y luego se desempeñó como cajero durante muchos años, la mayoría de ellos en el Cooperative Bank en Roslindale. En los últimos cinco años, Erick pasó del sector bancario a la contabilidad y sentía gran orgullo por su trabajo.
La vida de Erick giraba en torno a su familia. Disfrutaba viendo deportes, siguiendo la actualidad y saliendo a tomar helado con su familia. Siempre amó estar rodeado de sus seres queridos.
Amado esposo durante 24 años de Wendy García. Devoto padre de Ariel y Saúl García. Querido hijo de Marta Otilia López y del fallecido Alfredo García. Cariñoso hermano de Blanca Santiago, Ana Leticia Zamora, Brenda García López, Sonia García López, Byron García López y de la fallecida Dora Noemí García López. También le sobreviven numerosos familiares, que él adoraba, Sobrinos y Sobrinas, Primos y Primas, Tíos y Tías.
Familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados a acompañar a la familia durante las horas de visita el sábado 27 de septiembre de 2025, de 2 a 6 PM, en la funeraria Keohane, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.
