Ann Mullen (Kerr) of Weymouth, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 15, 2025. She was 83.

She was born in Glasgow, Scotland to Jane (McLuskie) and Andrew Kerr. She moved from Scotland to the US at a young age and settled in Quincy. She worked as a waitress at Dee Dee’s Lounge in Wollaston for over 25 years and as a school bus driver for children with special needs. While she was proud of her career, her greatest joy in life was her family. A devoted single mother, she dedicated her life to raising her daughter. Ann retired and spent her winters in Sebastian, FL.

She had a gift for storytelling that could light up a room, bringing laughter, reflection, and warmth to all who listened. Ann never let life’s adversities define her; instead, she met every challenge with grace, grit, and an unwavering belief in the brighter side of things. She loved to travel and cherished every moment spent with her family and friends, especially over a good lunch and a game of KENO or a game of Bingo with her friends from Florida. Ann was a true spitfire, a vibrant spirit with an unshakable strength and a heart full of love. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Beloved wife to the late John Mullen. Devoted mother to Deborah Murdock and her husband John of Weymouth, with a special mother, daughter relationship with her niece Kim Scibilio. Loving sister to Catherine Innes of Canada, Marion McGovern of CA, the late John Kerr, the late Jane LoBello, Andrew Kerr of Hanover, Peter Kerr of Weymouth, Archie Kerr of Duxbury, and James Kerr of Braintree. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and extended family in CA, Canada, Ireland and Scotland.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Jerome Parish, 632 Bridge Street, North Weymouth, MA, 02191.

We kindly ask that guests refrain from wearing black. Wearing bright colors or your Scottish flare is encouraged as she wanted a “celebration of her life”.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s name may be made to South Shore VNA, 30 Reservoir Park Drive, Rockland, MA, 02370 or to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA, 02284.
