Raquel Padilla Obituary
Raquel graduated from Brownsville High School in 1962. She had a great sense of compassion that led her to pursue a career as a secretary. She worked for the Texas Department of Health and Human Services for 40 years. When Raquel retired, she looked forward to visiting family and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed playing bingo in her spare time.
Raquel was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel R. and Gloria Padilla, her brother Manuel S. Padilla, her sister Graciela Padilla, and her nephew Michael D. Kobus.
Raquel is survived by her sister, Diana Padilla of Corpus Christi, TX, her sister Gloria Kobus (Richard), of Deer Park, TX, brother Roberto Padilla (Irma) of Round Rock, TX, and her sister Yolanda Black of Santa Fe, TX. She also had several nephews and nieces.
A public visitation will be held at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. A Rosary and Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 A.M. Inurnment to be scheduled at a later date.
