Raquepaw, Beverley "Bev" – of Birch Run, age 84, passed away Saturday August 16, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM, Thursday August 21, 2025, at Ss. Francis and Clare Catholic Church – 12157 Church St, Birch Run MI. Burial to follow in Birch Run Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday at the funeral home from 5PM until 8PM with a rosary at 7PM, and visitation at Church on Thursday from 10AM until the time of Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Koman for Breast Cancer or Ss. Francis and Clare Catholic Church.
Bev was born February 2, 1941, in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Woodrow and Irene (Pulley) Raquepaw. She was a graduate of Birch Run High School, class of 1959, Bev went on to earn her associate's degree and devoted her life to nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Hurley Medical Center, where she served with compassion and dedication for an incredible 30 years. Beverley's commitment to her work extended beyond her daily responsibilities; she was a respected Union Representative for Nurses and an active member of the Altar Society at both Saint Francis and Clare Catholic Church and St. Robert's Catholic Church. She found joy in golf and bowling during her younger years, and was an ardent fan of women's basketball, the Detroit Lions, and University of Michigan football. She loved the thrill of visiting casinos and was known for her shopping prowess, particularly with QVC. However, her greatest joy came from spending quality time with her family, especially her beloved nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, who brought her endless happiness.
Surviving are: Brother, Jim (June) Raquepaw; Sister-In-Law, Kathy Raquepaw; She was blessed with many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews too. She is preceded in passing by her brothers: Harry, Bill "Woodrow", Jerry and Larry; Nephew, Scott Raquepaw.
