Rasute buvo slaugytoja. Ji mego siuti, megzti, skaityti ir dirbti sode. Ypac mego vasaras leisti Union Pier, MI, kur džiaugdavosi buvimu prie ežero ir papludimio. Ji buvo labai atsidavusi ir rupestinga šeimai, kuri visada buvo svarbiausia jos gyvenimo dalis.

Rasute Stropiene (Malašauskaite), of Lockport, Illinois, passed away on January 31, 2026.

Born in Žasliai, Lithuania, Rasute emigrated to the United States as a young girl. She lived in Rochester, New York, before later moving to Chicago, Illinois, where she met her husband, Romanas. Together they raised three children.

Rasute was a devoted nurse and a woman of many talents and interests. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading, and gardening, and she especially cherished spending her summers in Union Pier, Michigan, where she loved going to the beach. Fiercely protective and deeply devoted, family was always at the center of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Romanas; her son Marius, his wife Dalia, and their children Viktute and Julyte; her son Tadas, his wife Larana, and their children Ivas, Kaya, and Annika; and her daughter Lidija (Polikaitis), her husband Darius, and their children Kovas, his wife Krista, and their daughter Aida; Daina and her fiancé Mykolas; and Vitas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Blessed Jurgis Matulaitis Mission in Lemont, Illinois.
