Nino you have been a big inspiration in my life you have taught me to be the best person I can be today, you have taught me not to care what people say about me and you have been here for me since the day I was born and I appreciate you and everything you have done for me. I know I was a pain in the butt for you and nana, but no matter what you will still be in my heart. I remember when I was little you would always yell at me and you would get in trouble with nana for yelling at me. In these past year you had reminded me about that when we had our talk and how was a brat for always getting you in trouble with nana. I love you Nino! You will always be in my heart.

When I think about Raul, know that he was not a friend to me, but my brother. We used to get into heated discussiong about football. Every NFL Season, I would ask Rully, if he was ready to become a Steelers fan? Rully, would just laugh and tell me that I was the one who shouldd change to a Raiders fan. We would reminisce about our years in high school and ROTC, as well as, argued about how each us perceived those same events. He would always tell me, "you always have to be right. Bro" I would explained that I really didn't and then we would both laugh. But, when times were hard, I could call Raul and he would just tell me "you have to do, what you have to do, Bro. But know that I will always have your back." Those words made me feel that I could perservere through anything that life has to offer. When I think of my transition into adulthood, Raul is a cornerstone of the type of man that I am today. I will always miss my brother.

One of our true to heart hardcore AKNA Studs who was always a sweet, caring friend. It's no wonder why we Ladies of AKNA called him "Cookie". But it's also because of his Spring Sing performance as Cookie Monster for JX that the name stuck. He will be missed. May he rest in peace with our heavenly father and soar with the angels. Many of you knew him as Raul, I was fortunate enough to meet him as "Cookie." He was a brother to me at Long Beach City College. He was a fellow member of the Junior Exchange mens club. Many great memories and experiences were shared there. I can not say enough about this person or impact he had on my life. He told me to follow my heart, which I have done so and I now find myself at a loss for words trying to explain how much we will miss you Raul!
